Peach Festival 4-Miler Scheduled | Sports & Recreation

The 34th Annual running of the Johnson County Peach Festival 4-Miler is scheduled for 7:00 AM, July 21, 2012, on the streets of Clarksville.  Entry forms may be obtained by contacting race coordinators, Sharon Schrepfer,  JaNiece Hall, or David Corbitt at Wal-Mart Distribution Center 6082, 3300 Sterlin Hurley Industrial Highway, Clarksville, Arkansas 72830, 479-754-4500, or by contacting Alicia Hartley by phone or fax at 479-754-9152, or going to the website @ jocopeachfestival8m.com.  Entry forms may also be picked up at the Johnson County Chamber of Commerce (754-2340), 101 N. Johnson Street in Clarksville.    

Pre-registration fee is $20.   Race day registration fee is $25.   All entrants will receive a T-Shirt.  Awards will be given to the top three finishers in the various age groups for men and women.  An overall and a master’s award for men and women will also be presented. 

This is the third year we will have a walker category.  Walkers will begin 7:05 AM on the same day as the run and will travel the same course.  Walkers will also be competing for the top three finishers in the same age groups.

The course to be run or walked will be the same as in previous years.  The race starting point and registration area will be on the courthouse square in Clarksville.  Awards and standings will be presented and posted immediately after the race at the race site.
