Pryor to Host First-Ever Facebook Town Hall

.S. Senator Mark Pryor today announced that he will hold his first-ever Facebook Town Hall on Thursday, March 7th to highlight his successes in moving our economy forward, and reach out to Arkansans about their legislative priorities for 2013. Constituents can submit and view questions on Pryor’s website and Facebook.

U.S. Senator John Boozman today introduced legislation, cosponsored by U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR), that permits the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to reinvest recreation fees to improve facilities where the funds were collected.

Senator John Boozman announced that his office is seeking full or part-time interns to help staff in his Washington, D.C. and state offices during the 2013 spring semester. 

 

“As Congress plans to tackle the biggest issues facing the future of our nation, I want to invite interested students to apply to join us for a semester this winter and spring to be a part of these historic times,” said Boozman.

“As summer draws to a close and young Arkansans return to campus, I want to invite interested students to apply for an internship during the fall semester. For college students who have an interest in government, this is an excellent opportunity to learn by serving the people of Arkansas as an intern in my office,” said Boozman.

Skip Rutherford to Speak at UAFS

The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith will host a talk March 1 on “People, Politics and Public Service” by political expert and public service advocate James L. “Skip” Rutherford, dean of the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service.

Rutherford will speak at 11 a.m. in the Weidman Center, room 133 of the Pendergraft Health Sciences Center. The event is free and open to the public.
