Sebastian County Humane Society Hosts Adopt-a-thon | Events

October is adopt a shelter dog month.  The Sebastian County Humane Society is recognizing this national event with an adopt-a-thon at the shelter. 

The adoption event will take place October 25-27.  The shelter will be open from 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. each day.

The large dog adoption fee is reduced from $80 to $40.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, the shelter will offer visitors hot dogs, chips and drinks for $2. 

The shelter has set a goal of 40 adoptions. The adoptions will make room in the kennels for needed renovations.

They will also accept potential foster pet parents to take the remaining dogs for a month when the work begins.  

The shelter is located at 3800 Kelley Highway.
